Old Prairie Town Christmas set for Dec. 14

TOPEKA, KAN. – There will be fun around every corner during an Old Prairie Town Christmas from 6-8 p.m. Dec. 14. Old Prairie Town will be decorated for Christmas and will feature activities in nearly every building in the 1800s village. Admission to the new event is $5 for children and $2 for adults.

Children can visit the Lingo Livery Stable to make magic reindeer feed, help an elf on the railroad hand car, write a letter to Santa at the Pauline Train Depot, take pictures with Santa Claus in the Ward-Meade mansion, enjoy cookies and cocoa in the Ward Cabin, hear stories read by local celebrities in the Victor School House and listen to seasonal music in the Everest Church. Families can enjoy shopping for nostalgic gifts or treats in the Mulvane General Store and pick up stocking stuffers in the Potwin Drug store which features old-fashioned candies.
