Overview
Built in 1920 as the Shawnee County Poor Farm, this facility continues to serve the community today. Our center staff is committed to offering services that improve health and happiness and providing a safe environment for families to play.

Family Night on the Ranch
Hop aboard the hayrack and listen to our storyteller give a brief history of the Oregon and California trails. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the Kansas prairie and see the Topeka skyline like you have never seen it before. Then it is back to the Dancing Star Ranch where you can relax and play horseshoes. Enjoy a country style hotdog cookout and all the fixins. Finish the evening with a beautiful sunset!
