Campground Reservation Information: 

All visitors and campers entering the campground must register at the entrance booth and display a current camper or visitor tag.

  • Campsite reservations available for arrival May 15 – Sept. 15 – In Person on 4/17/19 and  by phone on 4/18/19.  No refunds or transfer dates are issued.
  • First come, first serve for sites available Sept. 16 – May 14, Self- pay lock box located on the south side of Campground Office at entrance.

4th of July Reservations:

Please note. To facilitate reservations for the Lake Shawnee Campground, we have separated the 4th of July holiday from regular reservations.

4th of July reservations for 2019:

On Monday, April 15, 2019 at 8 am the campground office will be taking reservations only for the 4th of July holiday. Campers will be required to reserve a site for the entire period, Monday July 1 through Friday, July 5, 2019.  Walk-in reservations will be taken first.  We will need your name, address, birth date, license tag on your camping unit and your arrival date.  Payment is required at time of reservation.No refunds or transfer dates are issued.

General Reservations:

As of Wednesday, April 17, 2019, walk in reservations are available for dates of May 15 Sept. 15, 2019.  Phone reservations begin on April 18, 2019.  We will need your name, address, birth date, license tag on your camping unit and your arrival date.  A minimum stay of two nights is required time of reservation.  No refunds or transfer dates are issued.

Tent Camping is only available from April 15 – October 15. The North Bathhouse closes from Oct. 16 – April 15.  Limited sites available, sites 117-119 and 132-141. Two tens per campsite with no R.V.

Only RV sites 36 – 56 available Oct. 15, 2019 – Jan. 13, 2020 to accommodate special set up for Winter Wonderland holiday event.  Sites are first come, first serve.  Payment made by self-pay envelopes in black drop box, south side of  Campground Office.

A natural lake cove at the campground is open between sunrise and sunset and only to registered campers. Persons choosing to use the swimming area, surrounding dock and sidewalk do so at their own risk. No lifeguard is on staff at campground. All children 10 years of age or younger using the swimming area must be supervised by a parent, guardian or responsible companion 18 years of age or older. You may also view our campground map.

No refunds or transfers will be issued for unused reservations.

Additional Information

A tent erected with an R.V. in the same site  (sites #132 - #141 ONLY) will be charged an additional fee of $6 per day.

Parking Spaces for boats or trailers is $3/day. Spaces are located at the north end of the RV Park by the bathhouse.  Campground management reserves the right to refuse if there are safety concerns.  Availability not guaranteed.  

Additional free parking is available across the road from the office.
