Overview
The Bettis Family Sports Complex, formerly known as the Lake Shawnee Sports Complex, is one of the premier multiuse facilities in the Midwest. Nestled along the shoreline of Lake Shawnee in Topeka, Kansas, this 22-acre complex is a destination site for any sports enthusiast.
There are six lighted baseball diamonds with artificial turf infields and grass outfields. Jerry Robertson Field serves as the home field for Shawnee Heights High School baseball. The lighted, full-size, multi-purpose field is home to Shawnee Heights' men's and women's soccer teams. The complex includes two concession stands, restrooms, locker rooms, a plaza area, six offices, a reception area, two conference rooms, an umpires locker room, and the Lake Shawnee Event Center which is a year-round rental facility overlooking the complex.
The Bettis Family Sports Complex has played host to state, regional and national tournaments and has, through the years, hosted minor league baseball, summer collegiate leagues, and American Legion baseball.

Concessions
Our concession stands are operable for the convenience of those in attendance so therefore we prohibit outside food or drink with the exception of a personal bottle of water. A portion of the gate fee and concession profits are used annually to enhance sports complexes throughout Shawnee County. Having profitable concession sales annually help keep league fees low and affordable.
