Overview

The Lake Shawnee Trail is a 10-foot-wide nearly 7-mile (6.8) trail encircling Lake Shawnee and connecting many amenities in the 1,100-acre park that comprises Lake Shawnee. The trail is accessible from anywhere around Lake Shawnee, 3137 SE 29th Street. Connecting amenities include:

  • Four Comfort Stations / Restrooms
  • Garden House
  • Gazebos #1 and #2
  • Heated Fishing Dock

In 2009, construction was completed on the remaining section that connected the seven plus mile loop around Lake Shawnee. This section, from Tinman Circle to 45th Street, connected the Lake Shawnee Golf Course, Campground, Shelter Houses #4, #5, #6, and Reynolds Lodge. This section also features a bridge and connections to the neighborhoods adjacent to Lake Shawnee.
