Rueger Park Softball Complex is home one of several adult softball complexes within Shawnee County Parks + Recreation. The complex consists of approximately 24-acres of primarily athletic fields. Located south of the National Guard Armory, it is named after former Adjutant General James Rueger, a softball enthusiast.
There are 4 adult softball fields with 300-foot fences, scoreboards, bleachers and other associated amenities. A play structure is situated between two softball fields and is covered with safety netting to protect children from stray balls. A central pavilion has a covered shelter, restrooms and concession stand.
