TOPEKA, KAN. – Beginning Monday, May 16, weather permitting, a contractor will begin repairs on the east side of Doran Rock Garden pond in Gage Park. The project is to repair 180 feet of the wall along the east edge of the pond. The work will involve removing soil from behind the wall and installing a geo textile fabric along the wall, covering the fabric with compacted gravel and top dressing it with soil before seeding grass in the area. It is estimated that the repairs will take one week. During this time, “sidewalk closed” signs will be posted and temporary fencing will be installed in the area of the repair.
