TOPEKA, KAN. – With school starting, the Gage Park mini-train and carousel hours change to 10:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Sat.-Sun. only beginning Aug. 12 and through Oct. 29. The Lake Shawnee Adventure Cove is now open Sat.-Sun. for boat rentals only from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Sept. 10. The beach and floating playground are now closed for the season.
