Pool Description |
Nestled in nature next to Shawnee North Community Center, the Shawnee North Family Aquatic Center has a three-pool design that encompasses many of today’s state-of-the-art features from water slides to spray features to a lazy river. Ample space is available for people that want to relax and soak up the sun. Patrons will enjoy numerous shade structures as well.

General Admission Passes:
- Allows a youth or adult admission into the aquatic center or pool to swim during public hours.
- Available for purchase at any aquatic facility/pool, the Administration Office at Lake Shawnee or Shawnee North Community Center.
- There is no expiration date and they are not exclusive to a single individual.

Aquatic Fitness Passes:
- Note: The $55 and $110 price for the 16 & 32 punch aquatic fitness passes in the 2023 Shawnee County Parks & Recreation The Guide are incorrect. The correct prices for the fitness passes are listed below.
- Allows an individual over the age of 13 admission to water walking or fitness swimming.
- Available for purchase at Administration Annex, Shawnee North Community Center or Shawnee North Family Aquatic Center.
- There is no expiration date and they are not exclusive to a single individual.

Swim Lesson Information/Sign Up
Water Walking
Work out against the current of the lazy river. Participants must be 13 years of age or older.
Morning Time: 9-11 am Monday-Thursday & Saturday, May 31st-August 6th 2023.
Evening Time: 6-6:50 pm Monday-Thursday, May 29th-August 3rd 2023.
Cost: $5 or one punch on an aquatic fitness pass.
Water walking will be unavailable on the following dates:
- 9-11 am Saturday July 1st for Waves of Pain
Fitness Swimming
Open lap swimming in lap lanes at Shawnee North Family Aquatic Center.
Time: 8am-9:30am Monday-Friday, May 31st-August 4th 2023.
Cost: $5 or one punch on an aquatic fitness pass.

Aquatic Fitness Punch Pass Refunds
Starting 2023, fitness classes will be ran exclusively by Shockwave Aqua Fitness. Shawnee County fitness passes will no longer be accepted for entry or sign up of Shockwave Aqua Fitness ran classes or events. Owners of Shawnee County fitness passes can receive refunds for their unused Shawnee County fitness passes by submitting their unused passes with a refund form. Party Area and Private After Hour Rentals |
Shawnee North Family Aquatic Center has an open air party area available for rent during public hours. The pool can also be reserved after hours for private rentals. You can reserve either through the online catalog by clicking here or by calling 785-251-6900 for assistance.
