Lake Shawnee will be stocked with 7,000 pounds of rainbow trout at 10 a.m., Nov. 22. The public may view the stocking at the main boat ramp on Beach Drive off of SE 29th Street. The lake will be closed to fishing until 6 a.m. Nov. 30 to give the trout time to acclimate to the lake. Anglers need a $14.50 trout permit and fishermen younger than age 15 need a $7 youth trout permit.

Fall trout stocking at Lake Shawnee
