The Shawnee County Board of County Commissioners voted 3-0 on September 4, 2014 to approve the renaming of Adams Parks for former Topeka City Councilwoman Betty Dunn. The park is located at 3300 SE Adams St.
Betty Dunn Park is a small neighborhood park that is located adjacent to SE Adams St. The park is adjacent to a residential neighborhood with residential properties adjoining the park on the north and south. The park is mostly open space with a lot of mature shade trees. There is a newer play structure in one corner of the park
