Big Gage Shelter is located in beautiful Gage Park. The Mini-Train, Carousel, Blaisdell Family Aquatic Center, Gage Park Amphitheater, Topeka Zoo, the Kansas Children's Discovery Center, Reinisch Rose Garden and the children's play area are all within walking distance. The facility is completely enclosed with a full kitchen and restrooms. It is heated and air conditioned for year-round use. Seating for 250, and a room capacity of 300. Tables and chairs are provided.

Located on the west side of Gage Park at 800 SW Porter Rd., Snyder's Cabin is completely enclosed with a full kitchen and restrooms. It is heated and air conditioned for year-round use. The facility is handicap accessible but the restrooms are not. Seating capacity is 70. Includes tables and chairs.

Westlake shelter is located in Gage Park at 633 SW Blaisdell Blvd., across from Playland, Animaland, near the Gage Park mini-train and north of Blaisdell Family Aquatic Center. The shelter is completely enclosed with a full kitchen. Restrooms are located outside between the Gage Park Amphitheatre and the shelter. The shelter is heated and air conditioned for year-round use.
The shelter features adjacent playgrounds, restrooms, picnic areas, a kitchen with refrigerator, stove and sink, and tables and chairs.

The Adaptive Recreation Building is located in Gage Park, south of the Reinisch Rose Garden. This shelter will be a popular location for birthday parties but would work great for a variety of smaller events. The building is fully accessible with a playground and is near the accessible ball diamond (contact the sports office at 785-251-6970 to reserve the field for your event). Comparable shelters include the Carousel Party Room, Snyder’s Cabin and Shelter House #6. This shelter is home to the Civitan Day Camp, therefore will not be available for rentals during the summer.
It holds 48 people with 48 chairs and has six 5-foot round and two 8x2.5-foot tables. The banquet room is approximately 1,000 sq. ft. The kitchen has a refrigerator and oven. There are two single-stall restrooms inside. it has both heat and A/C, 18 total outlets, no grill, fireplace or outdoor space. However, it does have outdoor seating and an accessible playground located next to shelter. Fenced in, but open to public during rentals.

Corral #2 is an open air shelter with six picnic tables and electricity. Restrooms are located across the street. Seating capacity is 40.

The Steak Grill is an open air shelter located near the horseshoe pits in Gage Park. It includes seven picnic tables, electricity and restrooms located to the east of the shelter. The shelter seats 40.

Established in 1930 and located in Gage Park, the Reinisch Rose Garden features 180 varieties of roses totaling more than 4,500 roses. The garden includes both newly released rose varieties and numerous unusual varieties no longer commercially available. The garden has received Better Homes and Gardens Magazine's "More Beautiful America" recognition and the Historic Topeka Inc. Preservation Award. The adjacent Doran Rock Garden and pond provide a peaceful, tranquil setting that is popular for strolling and photography.
Weddings at the Rose Garden
Let nature be the backdrop for your special day. Imagine the romantic beauty of your wedding in the Reinisch Rose Garden. The peak blooming times for the 4,500 roses is late May into early June, and in early to mid-September. The Doran Rock Garden blooms with tulips for two weeks in April and annual flowers during the summer months. Seats up to 150. Private rental parties must provide own seating.
